Three Days Tour # 1

First Day

After having fetched you from your hotel, we will drive with the Hummer to the Ulfarsfell mountain, near Reykjavik, from which you will have a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the Faxafloi bay. You will experience right from the start the enormous climbing ability of a Hummer.

From there we will drive over the Hellisheidi pass, past Hveragerdi, Selfoss and Hella, where we will take a small coffee break, and then to Skogar. There we will visit a museum and the powerful 62 meter-high waterfall Skogarfoss. We will then drive in the direction of Thorsmörk. At the foot of the Eyjafallajökulss we will admire the imposing waterfall Seljalandsfoss, behind which you can go for a stroll.

After crossing many bridgeless, often deep and torrential rivers, we will arrive in the garden of Thor, the Thorsmork, an impressively beautiful natural park, embedded between three glaciers. We will make a longer halt there and undertake several small hikes in the glacier tongues or on one of the mountains, where we can marvel at the landscape from above. Then we will drive to our first hotel in Hvolsvöllur, where we will spend the night.

Second Day

After breakfast together, we will drive through Fjoltsdalur in the direction of Emstrur. On this road, we will be able to stop to admire the countless great natural wonders. After a coffee break in one of the Alftavatn mountain huts, we will drive north of the Myrdarsjökul through the vast sandy desert of Maelifellssandur and over bridgeless rivers near the Maelifell mountain. If the weather permits, we will drive up part of the close-by Myrdalsjökull glacier. We will then drive along the Brennivinkvisl, to Eldgja, one of the biggest volcanic fissures in the world.

After taking a coffee break and a small hike in the canyon, we will drive on a road, which will take us through breathtaking landscapes rivers to Landmannalaugur: anyone interested in Iceland has surely already seen a photograph of its colourful landscape. Here we will take another coffee break. One should not pass up the opportunity of taking a bath in one of the hot springs. Before we drive to our countryside hotel, we will still visit the colourful and water-filled Ljotipollur crater.

Third Day

After breakfast, we will visit the Stöng farm/museum and the Hjalparfoss waterfall. After that, we will drive on a rugged Jeep trail, called Linavegur, to Haifoss, Iceland's second highest waterfall. The road will take us further through several bridgeless rivers to Iceland's most beautiful canyon, Laxaglufer. And then on to Iceland's most fascinating waterfall, Gulfloss. After this visit, we will drive to Haukadalur, in order to admire Geysir and its still active brother Strokur.

After a coffee break, we will drive further over Lyngdalsheidi to Thingvellir, where the Icelanders founded the first parliament in the world in 930. After a longer stroll in this historically rich area, we will arrive in Reykjavik in the late evening.
